Travel Health

Travelling to remote parts of the world is becoming more popular. Furthermore, increasing numbers of older people, children, pregnant women and those with medical problems are travelling to more adventurous and remote destinations.

We are a Yellow Fever approved centre and our two practice nurses (Bróna Nicholson & Una Ghee) have received special training in this area.

We aim to ensure you remain well while travelling and offer:

Travel Vaccinations (all) and Advice

Children travel vaccines

Yellow Fever Vaccine

Malaria Prophylaxis and Advice

Influenza Vaccination

Post travel follow up

Please allow at least 6-8 weeks before travelling to ensure adequate time for vaccine ordering and for immunity to develop. Cost and number of vaccines required vary depending on travel itinerary. This is not covered by the medical card. Useful websites include www.travax.nhs.uk and wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel.
