We offer a warm and caring environment for the provision of a comprehensive patient and family centered practice.
We aim to provide high quality health care for the local population. Our philosophy includes helping patients take ownership of their own health. We also enable patients to share in the treatment of any illness through clear communication and explanations; and by making sure they have easy access to all members of our practice team.
We aim to provide complete continuous medical care in a friendly, respectful and confidential environment for you and all your family.
Continuous professional development is also seen as of paramount importance for all staff members.
Please note that we have completed all COVID-19 vaccines for our over 70's patients. We are now moving on to our high risk patients and we will be in touch with those patients as soon as we receive vaccines.
We urge all our 60-69 year olds to register on the HSE portal below. We fully support the HSE's recommendation of the Astra Zeneca vaccine for this group.
The doctors and nurses of Mullingar Medical Centre are here for you during the Covid19 Emergency.
Please do not delay in seeking help for medical problems during this time.
We have made some changes in the surgery to keep patients and staff safe.
We no longer can accept walk-in appointments, we will only see patients with a prearranged appointment. We have endeavoured to create a very safe environment for your visit. Please do not be afraid to attend.
Call 044 93 41987 during working hours to arrange an appointment. Please be advised phone lines will be busy due to the high volume of phone traffic at present due to COVID-19. We apologise for delays.
The secretary will ask you a series of questions to triage over the phone. This is essential for the surgery to give you the most appropriate care. A fee of €30 applies for phone consultations with a GP or nurse unless it is a COVID -19 related call. Should you attend, please attend on your own unless you are a carer or a patient under the age of 16. Please do not bring small children to your appointment or another child’s appointment. Please bring the patient only.
If a physical examination is required, we ask you to attend the surgery at your appointment time and we recommend you wear a facial covering, non-medical masks, bandannas, scarves and cloth can be used and sterilise your hands before entering. Please wear practical clothing so that the examination will be easier and faster to minimise infection risk. We ask that you minimise contact with others before your appointment, e.g. come straight from home rather than shopping first and attend your appointment.
We can only have a limited number of people in the waiting room so you may be asked to wait in your car until the doctor or nurse calls you. This is to ensure we adhere to strict social distancing measures. We also ask that you pay by card where possible.
We acknowledge that this is a difficult time for people but please be assured that our new measures have been put in place to keep you safe and to keep COVID 19 low in our community.
Please do not email this surgery regarding appointments or other issues as this is not a secure way of communicating with us.
Please see our facebook page for COVID 19 updates.
Thank you for your understanding and your support.
